I watched this 2007 horror film a little while ago. I was initially skeptical, but my friend convinced me to watch it. I’m glad she did! I really enjoyed it.
The film really surprised me – It’s not only scary, gory and exciting, but very emotional as well. Spoiler- the end is sad. I nearly cried, I held it in, though.
Yeah… I’m tough.
The film has an excellent premise. The concept is what sets it apart from other works of the genre. It’s set in a town in Alaska where once a year, they don’t see the sun for 30 days, because of their geographical location. (This phenomenon happens is some real Alaskan towns too!)
The whole area is in darkness for an entire month. So what’s the obvious thing here? … Its the perfect place for a whole load of raging vampire monsters! Yep, a month-long blood feasting sesh. Yummy.
